Welcome

This is the chronicle of our journey through the 21st century and our exploration and implementation of a greener lifestyle for our family. We are a family of four humans in suburban St Louis, Missouri, USA. We have always been Earth-conscious but have become even more aware recently of all of the things we can be doing to not only leave a smaller carbon footprint behind but to also increase our sustainable use of our land and resources to work and live in harmony with the earth and so have decided to embark on this journey to change our lives in many of those ways.

Phase 1

Sunday we papered the paths in between the beds and planned the berry & herb garden in the corner.  That has been something I have been dreaming of doing for years and I can't wait for it to come true!  It is already started by the fact that we have a veritible forest of Mulberry bushes growing all along our fences.  We did not discover that they were Mulberries until last year and in fact had been trying to kill them off for almost 9 years....obviously they are quite the hardy bush!!!!
