Welcome

This is the chronicle of our journey through the 21st century and our exploration and implementation of a greener lifestyle for our family. We are a family of four humans in suburban St Louis, Missouri, USA. We have always been Earth-conscious but have become even more aware recently of all of the things we can be doing to not only leave a smaller carbon footprint behind but to also increase our sustainable use of our land and resources to work and live in harmony with the earth and so have decided to embark on this journey to change our lives in many of those ways.

The Back Plot

Introducing......The Back Plot...formerly known as the original garden plot :)

Filled and ready to be planted!
 We planted bed 6 with more tomatoes, onions, carrots, eggplants, lettuce and spinach.  The lettuce and spinach we are going to try to have as a continual planting and therefore producing crop throughout the summer so it is being stagger planted in the bed...we'll see how it works! 
Bed 7 is planted with potatoes, 6 varieties even and then Kamut wheat from Egypt and hull-less oats..this is gonna fun!!!
